SDMT Sent Most Participants, Hosted The 14th OMNAS City Preliminary Round

A total of 720 participants of the 2024 National Olympiad (OMNAS) city preliminary round competed in mathematics, science, and English subjects at SDMT Ponorogo on Sunday (27/10/2021). The Olympiad held by the Emerald Education Centre (EEC) was attended by schools from all over Indonesia. The preliminary round for the Ponorogo level was attended by a number of elementary and junior high schools in Ponorogo.

Revealed by Ustadz Agus Amsa, the person in charge of the OMNAS rayon in Ponorogo, the selection of SDMT Ponorogo as the venue for the preliminary round has been going on since the 6th OMNAS because SDMT always sent the most participants.

“Because of the largest number of participants, the OMNAS center always chooses SDMT as the host,” said Ustadz Agus Amsa.

This year, the OMNAS participants from SDMT totalled 80 participants. According to Ustadz Agus Amsa, the number of participants from SDMT who participate always increases from year to year. It proves that the enthusiasm of students in participating in this competition increases every year.

He further said that the city preliminary round will screen a number of participants to then advance to the province. Students who get a minimum score of 72 are entitled to qualify for the provincial stage and compete with participants from other provinces.

Not only as a place to achieve achievements, OMNAS is also a gathering place between students. Fostering the spirit of competition in students.
