At the First Day of School SDMT Headmaster Invites Parents to Accompany and Assist their Children

sdmtponorogo.com – After a long holiday, today Monday (15/7/2024) students back to school. Teaching and learning activities have started

again. There’s different view in front of SDMT Ponorogo. The parking area is full of vehicles, the road is crowded with vehicles. No wonder today is the first day of first grader entering school.

The parents of the first grader have just escorted the child to school. They not only accompany the children, but also attended the opening of the MPLS which is held in the second floor of SDMT hall. The opening of MPLS is a welcoming and presentation of the program from the school principal.

There are 163 new students at SDMT Ponorogo. The 163 students were divided into six groups. They will take part in MPLS for the next two weeks, 15-27 July 2024. The first class team have prepared various activities for MPLS. New students are invited to get to know more about SDMT. This introduction starts from getting to know the school environment, learning shopping procedures in the school canteen, practicing ablution and prayer, introducing digital cards and toilet training.

The theme of this year’s MPLS is Bringing Children Together in Reinforcement Character in the 5.0 society era, as SDMT’s vision which emphasizes on instilling and reinforcement student character.

The headmaster of SDMT Ponorogo Ustadz Imam Saiful Bahri also expressed his invitation to student parents to collaborate on assisting students in forming character.

“Let’s accompany and assist our sons and daughters in forming character so, the children have good character and adequate foundation,” he explained.

For this reason, Ustadz Imam further said that SDMT Ponorogo does not only consider learning in the classroom, but also outside the classroom. (sdmt)
