5th Grade SDMT Students Present Independent Drama Performances for Arts Assessment

The 5th grade students of SDMT Ponorogo showcased remarkable creativity and teamwork through a drama performance as part of their final assessment for the Arts and Culture (SBK) subject. The performances took place on the main stage in the central courtyard on Friday, May 16, 2025.
The event, involving all five 5th grade classes, featured various traditional folktales, including the origin of Reog Ponorogo, Malin Kundang, Jaka Tarub, the story of Prophet Moses, and even the tale of the Boy Who Cried Wolf as featured in the Upin & Ipin series.
Interestingly, the entire preparation process—including theme selection, scriptwriting, rehearsals, role assignments, and prop-making—was carried out independently by the students, without direct involvement from the teachers. Teachers only served as guides and facilitators.
The students appeared enthusiastic and enjoyed this unique learning experience. Some even expressed their pride in being able to perform in front of their peers and teachers.
This activity is expected to foster responsibility, teamwork, self-confidence, and provide a meaningful and memorable learning experience.

Siswa Kelas 5 SDMT Gelar Pementasan Drama Mandiri untuk Penilaian SBK
Siswa kelas 5 SDMT Ponorogo menunjukkan kreativitas dan kerjasama luar biasa melalui pementasan drama sebagai bagian dari penilaian akhir mata pelajaran Seni Budaya dan Keterampilan (SBK). Pementasan drama berlangsung di panggung utama halaman tengah pada Jumat, 16 Mei 2025.
Pementasan yang diikuti oleh 5 rombel kelas 5 ini menampilkan berbagai cerita rakyat menarik, mulai dari asal-usul Reog Ponorogo, Malin Kundang, Jaka Tarub, Kisah Nabi Musa hingga tentang Penggembala Biri-Biri yang berbohong dalam serial Upin Ipin.
Menariknya, seluruh proses persiapan termasuk pemilihan tema, pembuatan naskah, latihan, pembagian peran, dan pembuatan properti, dilakukan secara mandiri oleh para siswa tanpa campur tangan langsung dari guru. Guru hanya membimbing dan mengarahkan.
Para siswa terlihat antusias dan menikmati proses belajar yang berbeda dari biasanya ini. Beberapa siswa bahkan mengungkapkan rasa bangga bisa tampil di depan teman-teman dan guru.
Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat melatih tanggung jawab, kekompakan, rasa percaya diri, serta menjadi pengalaman berharga dalam pelajaran yang bermakna.
